Born in Grass Valley, California — one of the centers of West Coast Bluegrass — to a family steeped in American traditional music. Lex was brought to every jam and festival possible by his banjo-playing father, Earle White.
As a teenager he studied Flamenco and Classical guitar before returning to his roots in Blues, Folk, and Bluegrass. A near-fatal commercial trucking accident at 25 sharpened his purpose: dedicate everything to music.
Now based on Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi — producing music, running events, and exploring the frontier where tradition meets synthesis.
